Senior Portfolio Manager

In January 2010, Ms. Armstrong  joined AlphaOne Capital Partners as a Senior Portfolio Manager for a mid and small-cap, long-short, equity fund. Prior to joining AlphaOne, Ms. Armstrong co-founded Redstone Investors Management where she managed the fund since 2002.

Prior to 2002, Ms. Armstrong had been employed at Morgan Stanley since 1996. In 1996, Morgan Stanley acquired the firm of Miller Anderson & Sherrerd where Ms. Armstrong had been employed since 1986. Ms. Armstrong was the Director of the Small and Mid Cap Growth Investment team, which managed institutional separate accounts and mutual funds totaling over $5 billion. From 1983 to 1984, Ms. Armstrong worked as an analyst at Evans Economics. Prior to that, she was an analyst at American Management Systems from 1982 to 1983.

Ms. Armstrong earned an MBA from The Wharton School in 1986 and a BA in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Brown University in 1982. Ms. Armstrong has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
