WEEKLY MARKET REVIEW: MARCH 1 Markets were driven higher this week as economic conditions continued to improve. Activity in the manufacturing and service sectors continued to expand while the unemployment rate seemed to stabilize. The S&P 500 finished the week up 3.12% but was outdone by the performance of the small-cap segments as the Russell 2000 and the Russell Micro-Cap Index finished the week up 5.97% and 6.28% respectively.
